Event 7-10p

An evening of truth, community, music, memory, and witness.

Join families, artists, organizers, and community members from across Atlanta for a fundraiser supporting The Aster Project. Together, we’ll share stories, celebrate community, and spend an evening investing in a more honest public memory for our city.

Why? Because the first public narrative after a police killing is written before families are heard and before the full truth is known.

Through research, storytelling, and public art, The Aster Project works alongside families to preserve memory, restore dignity, and build a more complete public record. Because public memory is a community responsibility.

What To Expect

LIVE MUSIC & PERFORMANCES
Artists performing in community and solidarity throughout the evening. Lineup announcements coming soon.

STORIES FROM THE COMMUNITY
Families and community voices sharing stories in their own words. A collective act of remembrance, reflection, and public witness.

LEAVE YOUR MARK
Contribute directly to the Aster Project mural. Every mark becomes part of a living document of community memory.

THE RECORD ROOM
Step into a professional recording booth and record a verse, reflection, poem, or spoken word piece over an original beat donated by an Atlanta producer. Your voice becomes part of the archive. Open to everyone.

FIRST PUBLIC LOOK AT THE MURAL
Be among the first to see the design for the upcoming Aster Project mural honoring the portraits of 20 Georgians killed by police.

FOOD & DRINKS
Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the evening. (Drinks not included.)

Art as Our Witness

Through the transformative power of public art, we’re reclaiming these narratives. We’re working directly with families to ensure their loved ones are honored in full— shining a light on their lives, challenging false narratives from media and police reports, and using art as a bridge to meaningful public engagement.

March 6th we celebrate the offical launch of the Aster Project’s first event, Art as Our Witness. And you’re invited!
